ARE THE RELIGION/GOD (of your choice) QUESTIONS PURPOSELY ASKED TO CAUSE CONTROVERSY?

cuz i read the answers sometimes and they're pretty funny. everyone thinks they're right.. every other answer contradicts the one before it.. and no one can ever fully back up what they're saying. (that is to prove or disprove whatever they're definding or arguing against) so sometimes this leads me to believe the purpose of religion was to cause conflict as history shows it does all too often. (keep in mind this isn't religion bashing.. just an observation anyone could make for themselves) so what is the purpose of a religion? is it your god can beat up the others? or is it some guidelines to live by? if so why defend them so strongly if everyone is supposed to be entitled to their own opinion? hmmmm...... the questions in my quest to understand could go on for days.. so i'll leave these be the only ones.. for now.

Update:

one point clearly proven by- Franhusda's. everyone thinks they're right.. thus the power struggle problems. ugh...

I believe that the majority of people here on Y!A do as you describe !

But then again, I believe that there is only ONE religious truth, and that is:

God's Holy Bible - there is NO other religious truth on this earth !

May God bless you as you study His Word

I fully recognize the rights of other to choose what they will or won't believe. Free choice is something God has given to all sentient creatures, and we don't have the right or ability to take it away. But God has also charged his followers with the responsibility to clear away the lies being told about him and to show people a better way to live, not just now, but in the peaceful future he's promised to bring. That is why we discus.

I believe that my religion is a way of life. I am a Muslim. I use my religion everyday throughout my life, I use it to help me make correct choices in life and to remind me to do good. In some cases it even restrains me from doing bad things.

One thing that I have no doubt about is that I would be a far worse person without my religion.

    Peace

Quite a few are, and quite a few are not.
