  • What is a "Class" monitor?

I see monitors listed for sale with description like "BenQ 24" Class 1080p LED Monitor".

I know what the rest of the description means, but what does "Class" mean when compared with other monitors?

  • How can Catholics deny that the "Hail Mary" they repeat is a prayer?

In light of the following, how can you say you're not praying to Mary?

During a General Audience on Wednesday, November 5, 1997 Pope John Paul II had this to say, in part:

"However, since the 14th century the most common prayer among Christians has been the 'Hail Mary'... As the liturgy and Christian piety demonstrate, the Church has always held devotion to Mary in high esteem, considering it inseparably linked to belief in Christ. It is in fact based on the Father’s plan, the Saviour’s will and the Paraclete’s inspiration."

Devotion to a spirit is worship. And he clearly states that you are praying to Mary. This, along with veneration of her idols runs contrary to so many scriptures it's scary. Here's a few: Matt. 6:9; John 14:6, 14; 1 Timothy 2:5; Matt 4:10; Exodus 20:4, 5; Isaiah 42:8; 1 Corinthians 10:14.

  • A Question for Catholics?

Please explain how the use of the title 'Father' when referring to a priest is acceptable in light of Matthew 23:8-12: "But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. "

I can't call out the Jews on this, since they don't believe in Jesus. But a religion that claims to follow Christs teachings is clearly shown here to not use titles in their worship. A clergy/laity distinction was not taught or allowed by Jesus.

  • Catholics: How would you respond?

How do you reconcile 1 Timothy 4:1-3 in the context of priestly celibacy?

It says in the King James Version: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."

Other translations use "demons". Doesn't it say there that forbidding to marry is a teaching of devils? What say you?

  • How do Catholics feel about this? How can you support this church?

"They knew it would be risky to exhibit a homoerotic version of Christ's Last Supper, but curators at museum of Vienna's Roman Catholic Cathedral weren't ready for a barrage of angry messages and calls to be shut down." - Reuters

This museum directly tied to the Catholic church openly and willingly displayed such filth!

How do you defend such actions?

  • To all Christians:?

Considering 2 Timothy 3:16, which says: "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness", please provide scriptural justification for condoning homosexual activities within the church in light of other scriptures such as Romans 1:27 and Leviticus 18:22 which clearly condemn homosexual acts. Scriptural justification only please! Opinions don't trump Bible commands!

  • For the Catholics....?

What is the foundation for the teaching of priestly celibacy, when 1 Timothy 3:2 says: "The overseer should therefore be irreprehensible, a husband of one wife, moderate in habits, sound in mind, orderly, hospitable, qualified to teach..."?

  • Why do you not ask / answer from the Bible?

When asking or answering a 'Christian' question, why do you not base your question or answer on the Bible? As Christians, our beliefs are to be Bible-based, not our own reasonings (which are really philosophies). I would like to make a call for everyone who claims to believe in the Bible to use the Bible in their answers! Quote scriptures directly and tell us where you get these teachings from.

  • If you could learn what the Bible REALLY teaches...?

Without all the garbage man has put into 'Christianity' and find a real answer to questions like:

    "Why does God permit suffering?"

"What happens to us when we die?"

"What does the future hold for man?"

"Who really was Jesus, and what is he doing now?"

Would you be willing to actually sit down and learn it, if someone could show you scriptures to back EVERYTHING up? Would you be willing to set aside any frustration with the taint man has put into religion to do this, then make a real, educated decision?
