How people that make YouTube videos make money.?

They are YouTube partners.

People like sxephil make money by being Youtube Partners and that requires alot of daily visits and thousands of subscribers. But Google owns youtube and Google also owns adsense. With Google adsense anybody can put ads on their videos or websites, so you can either put the ads on your video, or send people to your website using your video and when people click on the ads you make money. Anybody can sign up with Adsense, its free and Google pays you every month. Youtube has their own google adsense ads on their site so thats one way they are making money.

You have to have a lot of video and you have to be on you Tube for along time before they find you

Well one person I know on YouTube, ashens (he's really good ; YouTube him), makes money out of contributions on his site. He is a tech reviewer, and he also sells some of the stuff he reviews on eBay. He also has made a DVD, which he sells.
