What's wrong with this statement?

It's something I overheard a restaurant worker say today, the statement was

"We don't have any queso, we only have cheese".

The first one to tell me why that doesn't make any sense gets the cheeseriffic points.

    queso and cheese are the same thing in Spanish and English.

    well the worker just might have an itsi bitsi little problem with spanish!!

    When he said queso, he was referring to the sauce, Chili con Queso not to queso, the Spanish word for cheese.

    i asked the same thing, to a resturaunt worker queso means salsa and cheese
