how hard is air force boot camp?

Basic is now 8 1/2 weeks long. It is hard. Don't listen to people that say it isn't. it is very physical and very mental. Now, it's not Marine training but it is hard in it's own right.

I would not say that it is hard physically, if you are already physically fit. However, if you are a weak minded individual it will be very dificult for you. Boot camp is a psychological game, aiming to turn you from a civilian to a military member.

It's not hard if you remember to use this key phrase:

The TI's love interaction with the gang and they admire individuals who throw this phrases up in class. Also, they really enjoy compliments

Just be mentally prepared. From what I have heard the physical part isn't bad. But, if you have a pre existing injury or mental problem just be careful. The yelling and orders are what gets most people.

Depends on how well you handle mental games. If you do well under pressure, it'll be easy. But I watched people freeze up, screw up, and generally mess up while TIs are yelling at them.

If you can take the message and discard the volume or rhetoric, you'll find it easy.

The physical part is nothing.

If you're not in shape then it will be hard. If you're somewhat active then it will not be too hard.

Air Force has a reputation for being physically easier than the other services.

But they're pickier about who they take.
