Did someone block my calls/texts from their cell phone?
Happy new year to all!!! I sent a generic "happy New Year" text to all on my cell phone's contact list. All went well and many happy responses, except for one. The reply I got from one of my contacts was "message to xxx-xxxx deleted". did this person block my calls or is it that they don't have the account anymore? I rarely get in touch with this person so I'm just curious. If it makes a difference my cell plan is from Verizon but not sure about their provider.

a friend of mine tried to have a number blocked from calling her (she has tmobile) and they told her that they don't do that and the only option was to change your number. i know that now most companies (i believe verizon is one of them) only offer you the option of changing your number, not blocking numbers. so i'm guessing the person in your contacts list changed their number.

It depends on what service you have! With sprint its not possible but there is a way around it. In you phone go to settings, then security, only let incoming numbers that are in your phones phone book be accepted by your phone. So if the number isn't in your phone book your phone wont accept it. Text messages can be blocked by visiting sprints web site its easy. Good Luck.

you cant block numbers on a cell phone (I've looked into it) they probably just dont have that number anymore
