Just a question about being a vet!?

Hi. I know it seems weird to ask this since I'm still young but, I really want to be a vet, I love science and animals, as well as medicine.

I'm just wondering if there's anything early on I can do to prepare myself for this. If there's any specific courses I should take in high school and things like that. Thanks for any help!

Update:

I'm thirteen.

    How old are you?

In high school you need to take as many science courses that your school offers. Chemistry, biology, and physics.

The other things you can do is start getting veterinary experience and animal experience.

Animal experience includes anything you do with animals that's not under the supervision of a vet. This could include working/volunteering at a zoo, animal shelter, wildlife rehab facility, pet store...

Veterinary experience is by far the most important thing you can do. The earlier you start the better and the more varried your experiences are the better. I don't know how old you are, but most vets will let you come in and shadow starting at about 14. Most will consider hiring you as a paid employee at 16. Start asking around at your local clinics for opportunities if you're old enough.

I am also an aspiring vet and I will tell you from experience to keep your grades up and take many science and math courses to ready yourself for college. You can also volunteer at a local vet office.

This is customarily the worst query ever. You can use the web to invite a query however you cannot do a sensible google seek to discover a nearby vet hospital? Really? Maybe you don't have pets.
