In another window, go the site you want to paste a link to. At the top of the page in the address bar, click to select the ENTIRE URL/Address, being sure it begins with http://./ Copy it (file>copy, or Ctrl C). Go to your question or answer and paste (file>paste or Ctrl V). Then when you click on preview, you should make sure you got it right. If it's a clickable link, it'll be blue. But then to test it, right click and select "open in another window". If it goes to the page, you've done it correctly. ALWAYS test it. Pasting a broken link doesn't do any good.
(FYI: by not putting your complete question in the space provided, it makes it un-searchable. Many people have the same question and could benefit from the answers, but a search only works for questions that are put in the space provided.)

Left click on the URL to highlight it then right click. On the drop down menu left click copy. In the space you wish to put it right click in the message where you want to put the link . From the drop down left click paste. Double space and you are done.
