The MLB Network started at 6 pm today. What do you guys think of it? Is it good? I didn't get a chance to see it yet.

It's great! What better way to begin a network than with Don Larson's perfect game, complete and uncut. WOW! For those of us who love baseball, we have finally found a home!

The programming looks outstanding. Hot Stove, Ken Burns "Baseball" will be shown. Complete broadcasts of history's greatest games. Up to date happenings. It doesn't get any better than this!

It's pretty good, i find it's like Baseball Tonight, that used to be on ESPN, but it's a new network, and the season hasn't started yet so they're aren't many games/shows/programs on the channel right now, but by july the MLB network, will be in full swing.

You need the deluxe digital cable package to get it in my neighborhood. No MLB network for us, yet.

Also, unlike ESPN or Yahoo/sports, as the official network of the MLB, they probably are not going to discuss signing rumors and offers. ESPN reports today were about Manny talking to the Giants and Lowe getting an offer from the Mets. Did the MLB network discuss those items?

It looks pretty cool. I am watching it now and they just showed the perfect game in the World Series and the Hot Stove is coming up next, which I'm really excited about. They will have World Baseball Classic coverage and it will be like Baseball Tonight 24/7.

As much as I don't believe that Andre Dawson belongs in the HOF, I will still watch the ceremony. I will only make me think of all the frauds that have been elected into the HOF. I think there are around 290 in the hall and I bet at least 30 or more don't belong.

  • I like it so far. They just showed the game when Don Larsen did the only perfect game in World Series history in 1956.

its really cool, a really nice studio and the talent is ok, with the exception that they are screaming for the yankees to put joba back in the bullpen, I dont see any reason to do that with the need being much greater in the rotation than the bullpen

The mere notion of a baseball-only net, without all those damned lesser sports getting in the way, is a happy thought.

Actual execution, so far, has been agreeably good.

I think it is awsome because we get to watch a channel where all they talk about is baseball.
