Does this pain sound like a UTI?
I've had this horrible pain in my lower right abdominal for about four days. It feels like someone is just grabbing there and squeezing and it hurts to move, bend/roll over, cough, sneeze, etc. The pain has started to lace around my hip and in the small of my back on the right side. I drink alot of soda and barely, if any water. Is this a UTI? And if it is, is there anything I can do extra besides drinking water to make it go away?

you know, everyone always told me (even my doctor) that i didnt have a UTI because it wasn't painful to urinate, bla h blah blah. well i finally convinved my doc to order a urine test, guess what...ive had a UTI for over 3 months now. And guess what my only symptom was - back pain. Doesn't usually hurt in my abdomen, but hurts my hips and lower back. Like they said, drinking water wont make it go away, it will only help it. Go see a doc, get antiobiotics...could also be appendix though.

I agree with chelsea. With a uti, you do not need back pain or frequent urination, or pain when you pee. I did not experience any of those symptoms, except spotting in between periods. My doctor thought i was being a hypochondriac, and when i switched dotors, not only did they find out i had a UTI but i had it for months and it turned into a kidney infection which now causes severe leg pain. I developed GERD but i never had heart burn so it also went untreated. I beleived everything is related because it happened at the same time. Your symptoms sound like a uti or kidney infection, i dont think its your appendix.

It sounds like it could be your appendix too. A UTI causes you to have a feeling like you have to pee constantly but when you try to go it's hardly any at all. It is painful and burns. But whatever is going on you need to see a doctor. Drinking a ton of water can dilute the bacteria in your bladder and help to wash some of it out but if it is a UTI you have to take antibiotics to get rid of it. If you don't it can go to your kidney's and you don't want that to happen. Kidney pain is horrible :( So, if you don't think it could be your appendix (look up symptoms on webmd.con) then tonight use a heating pad, drink a ton of water, you want to keep your bladder full so you can pee a lot and flush out the bacteria. Tomorrow morning call your doctor and get in as soon as you can. Usually if you tell your doctor that you think you have a UTI they will get you in that day. (Oh, and no more pop. That will make a UTI much worse. Either water or pure cranberry juice is the best things to drink.

It does not sound like a UTI much. It sounds like you might have a kidney infection, or some sort of problem with your appendix. Usually symptoms of UTI are burning while urinating, or burning sensation around your bladder area, or having the urge to urinate frequently. If I was you, I would go to a doctor before it gets worse. Good luck.

It sounds more like your appendix. UTIs you would have lower back pain, painful urination, foul smelling urine, urgency to urinate. What you're describing sounds almost like textbook appendicitis. Push down on your right lower side and let go quickly. If it hurts more once you let go, that is one of the trademark signs of appecdicitis. Get checked out. ER in this case might not be a bad idea.

Firstly, I am no doctor.
My lady friend typically only feels pain from a UTI when she goes to the bathroom for no 1's.
If you can push two fingers into the side of your stomach OK but it kills you when you pull them out then that’s an appendicitis.
Either way, go to a doctor and get yourself checked out. It does not sound normal what you are feeling.

This sounds like appendicitis; not UTI. Get yourself to the ER before your appendix ruptures and you have really big trouble. Have someone drive you or call a cab. Good luck.

Sounds like you may have a kidney infection or possibly a kidney stone. If you can afford it, you should really seek out medical attention.
Drink as much water as you can stand and avoid eating large meals since it might make you feel sick.If the pain is moving, it's more than likely a stone and it will hurt when it's moving and less or not at all when it isn't.
Your doctor might send your to get an IVP or a CT of the lower abdomen to see where the stone is, how large it is, and if you might need surgery to remove it (rare).
Don't worry and take care of your self. Hope you get to feeling better.
