Actually the only year he read 95 books was 2006. That was the year the Iraq civil war started, and the US had the highest casualties ever, Hamas got control of the Gaza strip, Iran began enriching uranium, North Korea test fired nuclear missiles, and Israel bombed Lebanon for 33 days, killing over 1000 people. But Bush soldiered on in hope of winning his reading contest with Karl Rove. He lost the contest, and the following 2 years, he trimmed back to about a book a week.
I guess I'm not too puzzled that Bush read so much. He has always had screwed up priorities, and it kind of helps to explain the incredibly bad job he did.

you're incorrect. Karl Rove did not get up in the front of the rustic many cases in 2000 and 2004 to communicate the democratic 'luminaries' Gore and Kerry, Bush did. And if he did not out good 'win' the talk, he a minimum of held his own adverse to the self proclaimed intellectuals. can't communicate English? nicely, he no longer purely speaks English, with a Texas accent, yet is likewise fluent in Spanish. what number languages are you fluent in? Graduated from 2 Ivy League colleges. even as some would argue that his 'daddy' were given him in, his 'daddy' did not do the artwork for him. He did. He were given commonplace grades at 2 of the rustic's preferable establishments. i might want to assert that a 'C' at this kind of establishments is nicely worth an 'A' from the position ever you went. Rove is a political adviser. Bush isn't compelled to take his suggestion. yet he does. And, Bush acknowledges expertise and surrounds himself with it. A 'mediocre' man or woman would not so always settle for solid council or maybe comprehend it even as he said it. i like it even as persons call the President an fool even as they're sitting of their mom's basement ingesting coco puffs.

Bush doesn't have the talent to speak well in public but he does read far more than you will ever hope to.
People who know Bush say is very likable.
Cindy Sheehan the screaming anti-war protester say he was very personable when he talk to her after her son die in Iraq.
You better understand one thing come 1/20/90 you need to find better use for you hate for Bush before you are really damaged.

Depends on what he qualifies as books. I don't think Dick & Jane books, or My Pet Goat, or the pamphlets the Jehovah Witnesses leave in your door can be called books.

Well, since he's been at Crawford for 40% of his Presidency, I imagine he's had plenty of time to distract himself from the reality of his job.

They are probably those 5 or 6 page "learn to read" books like the teachers give you in 1st or 2nd grade.
Volume 1:
See the deer.
The deer sees me.
I fed the deer.
The deer ate.
If he keeps it up, maybe one day he'll actually become literate.

More Rove propaganda doesn't puzzle me but I wonder why he bothers trying to convince people of such nonsense.

Yeah. He's been so busy reading he hasn't even had any time to bang an intern.
