Why do you think the Wild offense is so hard to defend?

ALL it is is the wing t veer offense. 98% of the time the running back lines up in the qb spot and runs the ball up the middle or around the end. I have often wondered. If you know 98%of the time the RB is going to get the snap and run the ball somewhere it is so hard to stop. I think if you go man to man on the receivers and let the DE contain the outside. then shoot the gaps why it could not be stopped. Anyone else have any idea why it is so hard to stop or how it could be deafenedd

It's an old offense that nobody defended for, so it works.

If the RB gets the ball and you know it you play prevent defence. Have the safety's blitz and have your corners play back. Give some coushin and let the line handle it. Its a different story if the RB desides to throw it.....

Well, they have less time to react, the RB could throw (I saw a couple of them threw TD passes from the wildcat), RB could hand it back to the QB (the guy that can throw), let him throw it into single coverage.

because once you commit to the run on that play, he'll pull up and throw it to a wide open Receiver running down the field for a touchdown.

So many options when you have the athleticism to pull it off.
