You have to insert it into a USB port, and once the computer recognizes it, you can drag and drop things to it. Just remember if you delete something from the drive, it doesn't go to your recycling bin; it is permanently deleted. If your computer doesn't open the drive's folder for you automatically once you insert it, you can go to My Computer and the USB will be there like CDs are.

Before you remove it, make sure you either right-click the folder itself, or look for the little USB symbol (it will have an arrow) and click that, and choose "Safely Remove Hardware". This will make sure none of your data is lost. Once it says it is safe, you can take it out of the USB port!

First of all you need to plug it into a USB port on your computer. In the task-bar it will tell you that new hardware has been detected Once it's completed detecting it click on "My Computer" and you should see it there with the assigned drive letter. Next you need to right click on the drive and quick format it using fat 32 file system.

Now that it's ready to use you can transfer any of your files that you desire to it, up to 2 GBs. If you want to add pictures or music etc.to it you can right click on the picture or file and then send them to the Flash drive. After you have copied the Pictures to the drive you need to right click on the icon in your system tray to safely remove the drive. Once that has completed you can take the flash drive anywhere you like and plug it into any computer with a USB and view or transfer the files there. When it's full you can delete the flies and start over.

well, first off, is it a usb flash drive? If yes, then you can use it whenever you want as long as your computer works. In order to use it you just plug the flash drive into one of the usb ports on your pc. Some computers have it on the back and soome on the front, some both. Once plugged in, you click on start then click on my computer. The flash drive will be labeled removable disc or something. Click on the removable disc icon and voila! The contents of the flash drive will be displayed and you can drag and drop files into it or delete files off of it. Whatever you wish.
