Performing music in Toronto (beginner)?
I am a student with a singing talent -I wanted to start performing in coffeehouses or doing tiny gigs locally. Where are good places to start? Doesn't have to be paid, but small money would be great too.
thanks

3 AnswersPerforming Arts1 decade agoContinuing high school relationship through college?
Has anyone had experience with this? We've been in a relationship for 9 months, and it is pretty serious. We love each other very much, but are going to different schools for university.
Is this a good place to end it, or should we try long distance, and risk messing it up?
Are we too young to bother trying to keep this?
5 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoSong recommendations for a rock band! guitar, bass, drums, vocals?
Any suggestions for songs we could do?
Something that also has an emphasis on vocals, we want to use our singer, she's well trained, full and strong voice, but alto range.
As many as you can suggest!
thanks!

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoDropped Iphone 3GS in Water!!!?
Fell into a tub for about 2 or 3 seconds, was inside a case that protected the back but not much else, I use it with the case still on and talk on the phone etc.
It has a thin screen protector but other than that is just the normal iphone.
The lens of the camera is fogging up -my first question is, WILL THIS GO AWAY? and how do I make it go away?
For now, I have it in a ziploc bag full of uncooked rice.
How long should I leave it like that?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
5 AnswersCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoAmerican vs. Canadian University - Engineering?
I am trying to decide if I should apply to American Ivy Leagues. How do institutions such as U of T and McGill compare to the Ivys, and is there much of a difference?
I know that there are huge differences in tuition fees. I am a top student at my very competitive high school in Canada, but also know that Ivy League acceptance rates very low for international applicants, even Canadians. I do not know if it is worth putting in the time to write an SAT I, three SAT IIs, and go through lengthy applications with essays and interviews, when I could just as easily go to a Canadian university and take my high school time to volunteer, get internships etc.
How are professors, how rigorous is the curriculum, and what are the long term benefits of an Ivy vs. a Canadian University, especially for engineering?
Should I even bother applying to the States?
Thanks!

2 AnswersChemistry1 decade agoHELP parents + math?
report cards come out next week and i know im doing really badly in math, we've only had 3 evaluations this term, and my marks were 64, 55 and 75 or something around there. I am an A+ student and I know I'm screwing up but my parents wont understand at all and I'm really scared. I've applied for a tutor, and will definitely improve by the end of the year, but from past experience with an 87 in math first term last year, I know that doesn't cut it for them at all. They totally want above 90 AT LEAST and this is like a 65 and i am actually terrified of them
+ its winter break and it means i'll be grounded and have to suffer through it all
any help??? much appreciated!
