EATING with braces and bite plate?

Question

hey i just got braces, and along with it, a bite plate. I know that for the first week or so, its hard to eat anything at all, but I was wondering what kinds of things I WOULDNT be able to eat, say, in a month's time? Like noodles, they keep getting stuck in my braces! Bad idea in a public setting? Other than the fact that i totally don't get how on earth to eat in the first place with a bite plate, can someone please help?? THANKS!

i know what youre going through!
at  first i didnt want to eat anything at all!
i honestly dont eat everything my ortho told me not to, and ive had my braces for 1 1/2 years now which include: popcorn/gum/hard candy/chewy candy/nuts etc..its annoying but i do it so that i dont break brackets which cost money and cause a longer treatment time
i find that eggs,bread and noodles get stuck in my braces really easily so its super annoying. just always carry the little brush that your ortho should have given you. its really great for getting everything out underneath your wire and around your braces when you go out
and since you got a bite plate you probably have an overbite: if you do get elastics, wear them ALL the time!!! if you dont, youll just drag out the whole treatment

well... just remember that the braces and biteplate are temporary.  They have a purpose.

There are many people without teeth still getting nutrition from food.  Those with dentures have to do it and have no other option.

Eat soft foods - mashed potatoes, soup, mac and cheese, soft bread.
