No, if you want to buy you use your own wallet, not mine.

Yes there are. I live in Nevada and was about to go through the grant program. The thing with the grant program is that it would help you with the down payment but you have to pay 2% more for that money. So if you get the home loan for 5.5% then the downpayment money would have to be paid back at 7.5%. There are many other options available like a matching program that you have to be in for 10 months that will match up to $22K for downpayment and closing costs. There are income limits to that one and these are in NV programs. You should speak to a mortgage advisor about what options are available in your state or look into the housing authority in your state.

The programs to help new homeowners with down payments have been stopped.
The programs to get you a better interest rate are known to the real estate agents.
The IRS program is a an interest-free loan; you have to buy the house with your own funds first, then get the loan/credit when you file your taxes.

Not sure where you are located but in CA they had a program like that CAL FHA, but the state cancelled it because they ran out of money.
