Headlights on a 99 chevy silverado?
Does anybody know how to turn the lights off on a 99 chevy silverado?They are automatic, and would like to be able to temporarily disable them. Thank you.

There should be a dome light override button beside the headlight switch.You can push it 4 times quickly and they will shut off.Only exception is if the truck was built in Canada.Their federal law doesn't allow them to be shut off.

If you look at the end of the dashboard on the driver's side you will see the cover for the fuse box, just remove it and you should have a fuse in there for your DRL light's that you can remove. By the way there a relay under the hood that you can remove as well.

I have a 98 and the running lights shut off when your ignition is off but their should be a fuse either under your hood or under dash that you can pull or you could put duct tape over running lights that works to

if your talking about the daytime running lamps there should be a fuse that you can pull. at least i know there is on the 97
