A number of our Presidents have had various levels of proficiency at language. Thomas Jefferson was fluent in French. G. Washington spoke some French but not fluently. Teddy Roosevelt, Spanish. I would have to research the others.

I can't imagine. All high school students learn a foreign language. One has to assume that some presidents, many of whom were highly educated, achieved fluency.

Nope, John F. Kennedy spoke German to a huge crowd in Berlin. lol Yes, he really did say he was a jelly donut. They loved it. This guy says it best.

I highly doubt it. There is a relatively high percentage of bi or multilingual Americans, and presidents are typically rather intelligent.

No, early presidents spoke latin, jefferson spoke french, i didn't read it all...
