Adopt an older (maybe 1 to 3) from a rescue or shelter, they are great dogs to start out with and are allredy mature. Most are easy to train and have low health risks if they are mutts. Hope I helped!

If It's going to be your 1st dog, I would recommend a Border Collie.

    - Extremely loyal

    - Playful

    - Intelligent

    - Easy to train

    - Cute

    - Easy to groom

    - Great temperament

I would suggest you gals ADOPT a Border Collie from a shelter so you will be able to save an animal's life instead of just buying a normal puppy that doesn't even deserve a home as much as these sweet helpless dogs do.

Here are some sites where you'll be able to buy/adopt them:

    1. http://www.puppyfind.com/

    2. http://www.petfinder.com/

    3. http://www.adoptapet.com/

    4. http://www.craigslist.org/about/sites

And here's EVERYTHING you need to know about the Border Collie breed:

PLEASE make sure you're sincerely ready to adopt a puppy and face the responsibility before you invite him/her into your home because I just feel so sorry for all those innocent dogs locked up in Pounds and Shelters due to irresponsible owners.

You are both going to have to be committed to walking, bathing, grooming, feeding, playing, and taking your new puppy to the vet for It's yearly shots and flea treatments.

Just keep in mind, you're going to have to raise him/her to be the best dog there is and there WILL be many accidents going about your house, lol.

    But... It's completely worth it(:

really and truly it doesn't madder the breed but what the certain dog acts like if you really need a breed thou you might consider getting a small dog in general or maybe a beagle, terrier, in that variety
