Antifreeze absorbs heat slower than water and so an engine can overheat if the cooling system is filled with pure antifreeze. The purpose of the cooling system and coolant is to absorb heat from the engine and then carry that heat from the engine to the radiator where it can dissipate when passing through the radiator core and a mixture of water and antifreeze is more efficient at doing that than straight antifreeze is.

You don't want the engine to get below freezing. You should always keep a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and purified water in the system to prevent rust but your immediate problem is overnight. Warm up the engine thoroughly before you go to bed and if you have a garage to keep it in that should take care of it. If not you will want to keep as much of the heat in as possible by putting a blanket over the hood and grill. If that is not practical you should start the car every four hours or so to prevent it from freezing. No fun, but much better than a cracked block. If you can get antifreeze anywhere tonight, get a gallon, drain the radiator (there is probably a little wing valve (called a petcock) somewhere along the bottom of the radiator that you can loosen to drain the radiator. Drain it, close the petcock, add the coolant and top up with water - purified water if possible. Run the engine until warm and you will be able to sleep through the night.

Here's the REAL scoop provided by the Geophysical Institute, University of Alaska Fairbanks, in cooperation with the UAF research community. Larry Gedney is a seismologist at the Institute.
The following information was put out to due to numerous questions from customers who complained that a particular brand of antifreeze was no good because their engines had froze up at temperatures at or slightly above zero, let alone at temperatures that were below zero.
"Actually, this is to be expected when one considers that ethylene glycol, the principal component of most antifreezes, freezes at 8 degrees above zero, Fahrenheit. It is only when water is added that the freezing point is depressed. The freezing point of an ethylene glycol and water mixture drops rapidly as the concentration of glycol is increased to a mixture of about 60% antifreeze and 40% water. Around that point, an abrupt turnabout occurs, and as more antifreeze is added, the freezing point rises almost as fast as it had previously dropped."

You can buy antifreeze premixed now. Just check your local auto parts store.

well first off its more expensive and second it wont cool as effectively.
why do you want to run just antifreeze?

you will no have good heat in you car sometime cause engine overheated. 50/50 is the rule and still is.

It will probably overheat. It needs water to act as a coolant properly.

wil not cool like it should and i bet you had some kind of coolant in it before you added right id say you add two gallons an dtop off with water is fine kind fo hard to fill with just anitfreeze most cars hold about ten gallon of coolant so most time if a hose bust you only lose a gallon or two unlikely it was all gone..add two gallons and top with water all you need to do if you didnt add more than that just top off your fine
