How do I turn my laptop screen into an external monitor?

I have a really good LCD laptop screen but the computer kinda sputter and died (Laptop) and I want to use my Laptop screen as like a secondary screen for my desktop, how do I mod the screen to do that?

it's a WinBook J1 series

Update:

There is no way to sodder wires into VGA socket or anything?

    Pretty much you can't, unless you are a fantastic electronics engineer.

    You don't. No way to convert the connection for video.Caveat: If you have Vista, this may work:http://www.maxivista.com/
