    Hi,

    A) 800 students

    . ------------------- = 8.88 which rounds up to 9 buses

    . . 90 per bus

    9 buses x 155 = $1,395

    B) 800 students

    . ------------------- = 13.33 which rounds up to 14 buses

    . . 60 per bus

    14 buses x 110 = $1,540

    I hope that helps!! :-)

A/ If the school decides to take large buses, we need to see how many buses can carry 800 students first:

As 1 bus can hold 90 students, we need to take 800/90 then we have 8.8888 ( should be 9 buses) and it will cost $155x9=$1,395

B/ If the school decides to take small buses, we need to see how many buses can carry the 800 students:

As 1 bus can hold 60 students, we need to take 800/60 then we have 13.3333 (should be 14 buses) and it will cost $110x14=$1,540

    wow,

A: find out how many busses are needed for the amount of students, by dividing 90 into 800 = 9 then multiply by cost 155, sooooo, $1395

you round up for busses, because u cant have an .88 of a bus

    B: same steps for the small bus, 800 divided by 60, (14) times 110 = $1540

you should really work on you math skills, if u cant do that

    800/90 = 8.888888889 so 9 of the 90-passenger buses required

    9 * 155 = $1395

    800/60 = 13.333 so 14 of the 60-passenger buses required

    14 *110 = $1510

    A) $1,395 for 9 buses to hold all students (800/90) x 155

    B) $1,540 for 14 buses to hold all students (800/60) x 110

    small buses:

    60 x 110 = $6600

    A. 800/90 x 155

    B. 800/ 60 x 110

    A. 800/90=8.888 --> round to the nearest which is 9

    9 * $155=$ 1,395 was the expense

    B. 800/60=13.333--> round to the nearest which is 14

    14 * 110 =$ 1,540 was the expense

    A. large buses

    800/90 = 8.89 take 9 buses

    9 bus ($155/bus) = $1395

    B. small buses

    800/60 = 13.33 take 14 buses

    14 bus($110/day) = $1540

    Select your bus.
