if i was selecting i would sack him now give a younger guy a go like hughes for the south african tour so it can prepare him for the ashes.Hayden is past his peak and way out of form. His a bit selfish by making low scores and not retiring his losing games for AUSTRALIA.

I hope not, then any team would be able to beat Aussie LOL. Sack his over rated, over paid ****. He hasn't done jack consistantly for a while now so why not play someone else. If you think he should continue to play then you should be shot. He should've retired at the top of his game, now he will be remembered as a great player that left as an average player with an average run total in his last season. Australia must ask themselves what risk do they have of bringing someone new in, NOTHING because even if he scores 0 he will still be doing better than what was expected of Hayden. All of you purest our there I ask you, before this last test everyone 1 eyed ******** was saying Hayden is due, Hayden will produce, Hayden this and that, does his to totals of low 30's do justice for your comments. Australia have lost there way, before you use to hang a person who played bad and would only accept winning and great things, now you all make excuses for Old, over used, out of form, over paid people. And you think this will make you a winning nation again?

Once again MBTM has missed the point...Mark Taylor had a few chances during his lean spell, as did Steve Waugh at one point but they were at different stages of their career unlike Hayden who is at the wrong age. I think its over for him.

No. He could have played like Tendulkar and poked and prodded his way to a cheap selfish 100 but he chose to attack for the team. He will tour SA...

He wants to play in the 2009 Ashes (but i doubt it)
If i was a selector i wouldnt give him the sack til after the South African Tour....
If his in form then keep him for the Ashes and he will retire afterwards..
If he aint then his prob gonna retire in the S.A tour and earn $$$$$$ from playing the IPL

Yep. I can't see him back in the Australian team. Age is not on his side so I guess he would have to be dropped. The only thing that could've saved him would've been a massive ton in the 2nd innings.

if he did go who would replace hayden
