What does the "M" in NCAA-M mean?

I know NCAA means it's a college sport, but does it reference college mens basketball? It's the only thing I can come up with, but I'm not sure it's right. I've seen it several times on the sports score crawler at the bottom of the screen, and it's driving me nuts.

    When you see the sports crawler at the bottom of the screen...

    NCAA-M = Men's college basketball

    NCAA-W = Women's college basketball

    NCAAF = College football

    I'm pretty sure it just means "men". At a women's game they would have a "W" after the NCAA.

    I just did a search... "NCAA-M".... and I think you're right- the "M" stands for men's...

    I'm thinking Gumby is right as well, with his suspicion that "W" stands for women's teams.
