How many "faulty Wii controller" returns are actually just Cheetos cheese dust clogs?

Approximately 25% of the Wii Controllers are returned to the company because of Cheetos Dust.

I found a pareto that lists common Wii controller defects:

1.4% - Manufacturing defect

2.6% - Submerged in alcohol

6% - Blunt force trauma

18% - Feline cavity searches, *cries*

22% - Cheetos or similar foreign matter contaminant

25% - Exposure to Soulja Boy

25% - Wang to Wii measurement comparison

I thought a faulty Wii controller had something to do with a batch of defective Depends. Now it seems I may have been gravely mistaken.

Good question. I bet the factory has a whole group of repair people dedicated to Cheetos dust removal.

I don't know...the controllers are pretty hardy though. Both of my remotes were caught in Hurricane Ike, and they both still work fine (some of the LEDs aren't on, but I can play all my games without problems).
