i mean don't get me wrong i have a nintendo Wii and its great but we are talking about a living legend game.

Super Mario Bros. also came with the NES, so it's not like Wii Sports has an advantage. The article didn't take into consideration the time periods. When Mario was released, video games was a niche thing. It was frowned upon by the public if you played video games, so not too many people were buying consoles. The NES also came after the great video game collapse, so not too many people were interested in buying consoles. The Wii came out at the right time. With the success of the PS2, more and more people are buying consoles. Also, video games is no longer frowned upon.

Pretty much every article from Yahoo on video games is BS. It's biased towards Nintendo.

That's weird, I read that same article this morning. But when I first started to read it, yes it did seem like it was bullshit, but as I kept reading, the article said that Mario Bros also came with the console as a bundle back in the eighties. I still think it's BS. Don't get me wrong. I think Wii Sports is the best Wii game, but Mario Bros is the best game for nintendo.

I don't agree with the fact that Mario was dethroned, but I want to add some information. In Japan, Wii Sports was not included with the console and was charged for.

It's not that Wii Sports is better, it's just that it's sold more because it's bundled with the Wii.
