Unfortunately maggie, google doesn't have a "virus" but by guessing at what you mean I believe your computer does have some sort of infection. Too broad an issue to say now what specific type - could be a DNS Changer, or malware loading it's own file from a Windows NT\drivers32 registry setting, or quite a few other infection types. Better we take a more detailed look at things, and then decide on a course of action. in general, no. google does not have a virus. but, google does sometimes have rigged web pages. such as pages with common terms, terms and words that are used often, and certain applications. so if under the website the words don't make sense or the website address looks strange, don't click on it. hope this helps!

It's not Google, it's a trojan called Vundo. A free download at www.malwarebytes.org will scan and repair.
