Y & R....sigh....when will this Kay/Marge identity crisis end?
I love a good storyline, but this Kay/Marge identity thing is starting to wear on my nerves. The only people that believe Katherine is Katherine is shady *ss Gloria and son. I really don't know what Bardwell is up to, but how do you think this whole thing will resolve? Of course, us intelligent people are saying DNA test but we are talking about the residents of Genoa City.

I know, I know, I got so mad today when even Nikki didn't recognize that she was really Kay, I was screaming at the TV from my chair "She IS Kay, She IS Kay Nikki, why don't you believe her"?!
What I can't figure out is what on earth is taking the police so long to track the ring to the pawn shop?
Nikki called the police just a few days after Kay died and that was way before Christmas, shouldn't they have been able to find it there by now?
You are right about the DNA test too, I would have thought the police would have wanted that done or it least check their computer with Kay's fingerprints while they had her right there in jail.
I guess the viewers aren't supposed to be smart enough to figure all that out in the minds of the writers, but we sure fooled them didn't we?

No, I cannot say I have been feeling that way. Although from this question it appears that I am one of the few who have not had an identity crisis of some sort. I did not realize it was that common a problem. Anyway, I love the poem, Goldfish. To answer your real question, yes, I do act like certain characters after reading their books. After Harry Potter, I wanted, like everyone else, to be like Hermione. I studied more often, I spoke in a crappy British accent, and I even went so far as to continually boss my friends around. Thank goodness that phase ended. I read Huckleberry Finn, and started to talk just like Huck. I said "I reckon" a lot. At least my southern accent was better than my British accent. Then I read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It takes place in a mental asylum. I'll let you figure out how well my impersonations of those characters went. Hint: I started talking to myself. A lot. Finally, most recently I read Gone with the Wind. I started acting like Scarlett O'Hara. I didn't even realize I was doing it at first. But I had her pride, her spoiled attitude, and lots of other qualities I would rather not have had. I take on the personalities of many of the characters I read. I'm just glad it's never permanent.

Isn't it funny how Gloria ended up refusing bail so she could be with Katherine, and now Katherine's the one out? Suck ups of Genoa City Unite!!
We all are sitting at home shaking our heads, wondering when someone will think about DNA. And if no one does, when will that one memory come, the one that's going too trigger all the rest like an avalanche?
Do the recipients of Katherine's will have to give back all the bequests? That could leave some people out to dry...

Sadly, in my experience, all major story lines on Y&R last approximately a year. Take the story line on the murder of what was his name, Ju Lin, or something. I've been watching the show off and on for thirty years, and this has never changed. However, in this case, the criminal charges have to be brought to trial in the near future, and I have no doubt that KC's defense lawyer will insist on a DNA test then. Course, then Gloria and Jeffrey will probably monkey with the test so it will get drawn out some more, probably with KC doing time.

I agree with you .. I think the Kay/Marge thing is old news - and getting not interesting any more.
Bardwell ... grrrrr ... lol .. he is someone who needs it as bad - or worse - than Jack .

I know I am hoping they find out that she is the real Kay soon. I was hoping on today's episode that she would remember something and tell Nikki about it and Nikki would know that it was really her. Jeff is up to no good as usual.

Not soon enough! Brad's leaving the show so that storyline has got to heat up. Also, I read Heather is not leaving so they HAVE to do something with her. It's all getting pretty old.
