I've always wanted to have a full mount of a squirrel, what do i need to do to have it ready to take it to a taxidermist after its harvested?

Freeze it or take it directly to him. He will take care of everything. The less you mess with the squirrel, the easier it will be for your taxidermist to return a good mount to you.

that's right RJ
taxidermists hate to see hacked up animals coming in their shop.
it takes more work for them to sew up a butchered up animal than it does to prepare it the way they want it.
in any case if you call and talk to your taxidermist he will be most happy to explain how he would like the animal prepared.
not all animals are done in the same method so ask first.
different taxidermists tend to have different likes , dislikes and techniques.
