GIVE UP / GAVE UP: What have you ever gave up?

Alot.......I'm married w/ 3 kids so i've pretty much gave up anything i used to enjoy.

But gained my family.

I gave up on why the middle east fights/ wars a loooong time ago. I figure that thats "WHAT THEY DO". Its like a job over there. They will never stop. They have had so many chances to live in peace but they wont. Very well, I say let them do what they do. If it affects other countries then nuke them.

I gave up before I ever started

Gave Up: Drinking, Cussing;

Should: Smoking...!!

I gave up my happiness because a bunch of hateful people decided to take it away from me. I'm giving up my anger because I'm ready to go back to the way things should be.

i gave up the chance to see my favorite band in concert... twice. it was actually a hugely stupid decision on my part and i regret it a LOT.

but, i think you're asking more in terms of what have we been willing to sacrifice...? i'd gladly walk a mile with no shoes if it meant understanding what hundreds of thousands of people go through every day.

The question should be, what have you ever given up?

I have given up on our education system teaching proper english to our youth.

I gave at the office.

When I surrendered my will to God, I gave up my bad habits of smoking and drinking.

One more beer and and I might give up all I drank tonight. ("give up" being slang for vomit)

I think it's "what have you given up". The have makes me think that.

I would like to "give up" smoking..

I have "given up" chasing the Ladies. I "gave" that up when I wed.

I've given up plenty. One was trying to find someone from my past [and I accidently found him anyway]. I'd like to give up being lonely. I'd rather be happy being alone, than lonely with everyone else. :)
