Essentially it is machine which can help you basically with Letter writing and edit files you create in notepad-microsoft word,do/solve mathematics,programme-C language,visual basic,fortran,play games,listening to music,arrange /manage your still photos,stream/down load music-vedeos-softwares-daily news and a lot of things which I can quote day in and day out with out any break. Once you get a machine(laptop) ,you will notice that it will be in the assebled form,only thing after opening its folded screen will be an embedded key board as well as a touch pad(in place of a mouse).There will be 2to 4 USB (universal serial Bus)ports,2 ear phone like jacks ,a parrellel port,enclosedCd rom and telephone jack and a battery pack as well.The machine inside of the case consiststs mainly Mother board, a hard drive,processor,Ram(read&access memmory),power supply,certain vedeo card/audio enhansing control cards etc etc.The soft wares are loaded sufficiently(Norton antivirus,fire wall) in addition to operating systems like Microsoft Win 2000 xp or latest vista.We can access internet with the machine once we get Broad band connectivity or dialups.OK
