How is a write-protection removed from music,pictures,etc from a computer? ?

I want to put some pictures on my Sandisk micro to show up on my phone and transfer some music to it also. But when I try to copy onto the micro, an error box comes up saying that it is write protected. I didn't protect the pictures or the music when placing them on my hard drive so why are they protected now? How do I change this? Thanks

When you say micro, do you mean micro SD card? From the message you are getting, it sounds like the micro SD card is write protected, not the files. There should be a little write protect tab you have to move.

Um ... if you can't put any files on the MicroSD card at all, there's a small slider on the left side of the card, slide that back down.

The tape completely worked! I made particular the lock change grow to be set to unencumber and found 2 skinny products of scotch tape over that notch opposite the change and it worked completely! (TIP: a million layer of electric powered tape in undemanding terms have been given gunked up and munched on the SC card; the greater healthful grow to be particularly tight interior the reader and nevertheless ended up being write-secure, so i attempted 2 layers of scotch tape)
