I would think that you would understand that as a man he's more comfortable wandering through a hardware store, than the clothing section of WalMart. Plus, He wants to talk to you. At WalMart your attitude will be ME FIRST AND WHAT I WANT.

Now, a little lesson. Unless you live in a small town, there are few hardware stores anymore, though we still call them that. They are home improvement, and that can include him wanting to talk to you about ways to improve your room. There are a great many girlie things to be found at these stores. Choosing WalMart may have cost you something you may have liked, and something he wants to show you. Instead, you diminish his intent and him as a father.

Go and spend time with your dad. He could make a stop at another store with you.
