Can you freeze canned cranberry sauce?
I just opened a can of it ($1.32 now!) and used half and was wondering if I can freeze the rest of it to save it for next time! Trying to save every penny I can!

Honestly, I have never done this. But it is worth a try - if you cannot use it, then why not try to freeze it now? The worst case is, you will throw it out in a few months instead of throwing it out now.
Also, if you froze it, you could still use it later on. First of all, you can freeze anything to prevent it from spoiling. The cranberry sauce may change texture, so you might not be able to slice it up to eat. However, you could still use it to make a sauce or glaze to go over pork chops or chicken. Or even make a dipping sauce or chutney if you mix it with some chopped-up mango and brown sugar. You could even incorporate it into a bread or muffin recipe to add flavor. Don't throw it out!
