How far is it from Bavaria, Germany to Essen, Germany? In miles?

In miles?

I was wondering because I want to go to the Love Parade in summer 2009 and I'd be flying from U.S. to stay with family in Bavaria and the Love Parade is in Bochum in Essen in 2009.

And I guess it would be a smart idea to just take the trains to get there?

Appreciate the help. Thanks!

Can be between 155 miles from the Bavarian-Hesse limit

and 480 miles from the Bavarian-Austrian border

Trains would be good idea if you stay nearby a train station of the high-speed net.

Kahl am Main - Bochum 3.25 hours; Berchtesgaden - Bochum 8.5 hours.

Loveparade 2009 is in Bochum, it was in Essen in 2007.

Berlin is the capital city of Germany, Munich is the capital city of Bavaria. Bavarian sounds plenty closer to Austrian than to the different German dialect. Berlin, the place I stay is different in terms of subculture, dialect and well-known day-to day residing. in view that Germany as a usa has purely been around for the final one hundred fifty years or so, it isn't any marvel that there are those modifications. while vacationers pass to Germany they have a tendency to pin Bavarian subculture onto Germany as an entire. i discover the 'east' plenty extra thrilling. There are additionally much less vacationers and you have got the possibility to prepare German so plenty extra. interior the east there became a extra Prussian impression(google Potsdam), as Brandenburg and Berlin have been as quickly as area of Prussia. the main foreigners stay in Berlin and Hochdeutsch (what youngsters and foreigners study at school) is spoken in Hannover/Hamburg areas.
