The importance of exchanging information and resources with colleagues?

I'm working on a team leading NVQ and I would some opinions on this question, thanks

    It's important to share some information with

    colleagues, because it allows them to see

    you as a person, not just the boss.

    You are one of them, even though they

    know their positions. The team works better,

    issues are handled smoother.
