What do vegans/vegies think will happen to all of the livestock ?

I think they're delicious

IF everyone gave up meat tomorrow? first, that would be great, but won't happen. If people did however go off meat this is really how things would sorta work.

First off meat would never stop over night it would be a gradual thing it would happen over a few years. In which case farmers and the like would slowly stop breeding the animals which would decrease their numbers.

Yes cows, pigs, and chickens are not real species. The pigs were breed from wild boars, chickens from wild red forest chickens, even dogs are are only breed from wolves. Most food animals are so over bred they physically can't even breed with out artificial insemination.

So them breeding and overpopulating is out of the questions.

So what would happen after the meat eating stoped, well the planets real landscape would flourish. The grazing fields would sprout new life of trees. Remember our world is and artificial one, the world did not naturally wipe out thousand of trees to make farm land we did it to grow crops on and make fields for thousands of cattle to graze on.

A healthy life would a new on this planet. hoping the damage is not already done.

But this is just a distant dream, till then me and my family will continue to do are bit.

I myself think humans own their live to these animals.

well humans did domesticate these animals.. we altered there genetics by breeding them into what we want them to be. they wouldnt be able to survive without humans now.

like domestic turkeys, their chests are so big they cant stand up right. and steers are so big they cant mate with cows.. theyre all artificially inseminated

so its kind of sad, but if everybody stopped eating animals, the species would go extinct and things would go back the way they were.. and when you think about it, that wouldnt be such a bad thing.. i dont think humans should tamper with animals genetics and stuff like that. we should just leave the animals alone and let nature take care of that stuff.

so my simple answer: things would go back to the way they were.

The only reason pigs, cows, chickens etc exist in the form that we currently know them is from years of selective breeding. They are not natural species. So whilst there would be no 'reason' to have them, would it really matter? Not that the species would completely die out anyway, people would still keep them as pets, in sanctuaries etc.

But even that is all a moot point, the world population is never going to completely drop farmed animal products- unfortunately.

Is there any reason for the other animals that roam the Earth?

No, not really but they still exist.

They are living creatures that were put on the Earth.

Not every animal needs a purpose like being eaten.

Just hink about it.

Let me answer your question with a question:

(To them) what's our propose? How do we help them?

My point is they don't have to have a reason (for us) to live-can't we all just live peacefully side by side?

personally I think we SHOULD just let them all go in to the wild, and if theirs not enough wild-There SHOULD be, another thing we NEED to fix, this world is NOT all about us, what if you were in their shoes-taken out of your home (shortly after your home destroyed and the perpetrates put up their home) then seeing almost all of your species condemned to the same fate, and all of y'all raised like you're computers the operator saying "faster faster"-only to sell you for money

All animals will live happily ever after until they starve or some epidemic wipes them out.

because they are beautiful to look at.. ohh say bears and tigers decide not to eat humans anymore.. why do humans live. becuase we have lives. we have childeren and familys to take care of.. we are beautiful and the other animals(us for the livestocks case) should realized that.. thats my oppinion..
