Finally you could check out the Royal Festival Hall (before you reach Coin St) which has a great space at the entrance called The Ballroom. Lovely bar and sitting area, good for people watching!

Waterloo is a very busy area. However, turn left out of the station and head for 150 WATERLOO ROAD, SE1. There is a brilliant bar called "The Fire Station". Yes, it's an original fire station renovated into a bar. It's quiet, very comfortable and just a nice bar to be in! Good Luck!
