I have been an RN for 20 years. I have never regretted choosing nursing over medicine. With the shortage of nurses, I can get a job anywhere, anytime. I work 3-4 days a week and make $100K.

Yes there are many male nurses. My cousin is an all American man's man. He was in the army the first time we were in Iraq and then he used his G.I bill and went to school for nursing. After 9/11 he went back into the miltary as an army nurse. I think he works in nuerolagy now I'm not sure.

Nursing is an excellent starting point for anyone who is considering being a doctor. There are more certifications that a nurse has to earn in order to be certified, but after your undergraduate degree you would most likely achieve all of these certifications. Then, you can apply for grad schools in the field of medicine. . .Good Luck!

You can get a Phd.(Doctorate Degree) in nursing and can hang out your "own shingle" (advanced practice) or You can get into medical school with your undergrad degree in Nursing. My doctor was a male nurse before he got his medical degree.

Gosh, dont listen to most of the people on here. I really like this site if all the ignorant kids would get off it. lol anyways, yes, as most people have already said. There are quite a bit of them, and they arent gay, they are lucky, they get to work with young gorgous girls, not to metion that they have hood pay and benigits, and I would much rather have a guy making me feel better, when I am sick, he he! This sounds like a great option for you.
