How Does The 1999 Ford Explorer Stock Radio/Speakers Sound?

hi there

how does the stock radio and speakers sound in a 1999 ford explorer?

good bass?

loud?

easy to blow the speakers.... cause i listen to lots of bassy songs!

    They sound like a factory radio, the speaker cones are made of paper of course, and yes, you can blow them. If you like it loud and clear, I would suggest an upgrade, Infinity Kappa series are very nice. The "bassy" songs played wide open constantly, will destroy those speakers.

    They sound alright. Yeah i don't know much about the integrity of the explorer stock speakers, but you can always go after market.

    I have a 1998 Ford Mustang and my old stock speakers were almost impossible to blow, but my two subs and 3000 watts blew my back two, so I had to remove them from service lol

    your speaker size should be 5 by 7 or 6 by 8 their both the same size and if you have a factor radio in the car you'll need a dash kit and harness so if you get it from circuit city your looking to spend at least 320 for 2 pair of sony speakers installed, radio plus dash kit and harness and they got the free installation on any radio 100 bucks and up hope that helped you out.
