Do women/girls really get excited about being pregnant?

I mean, of course aside from times when it either comes out of an affair / and /or are under age or something else where a girl really wouldn't want to be pregnant.......

In general/without any of those situations, do girls/women actually get excited about it? Is it really that happy of a thing for them? Aside, of course, from any happiness that may just be shared by everyone in the family.....

I think it varies on whether or not the woman is ready (or FEELS that she is ready) to have a child, and the circumstances. Personally, as a woman pregnant with my second (and last) child, I am ecstatic. But all the circumstances are right for me at this moment. Had I gotten pregnant 6 months sooner (and I thought I was) it would have been awful. I'm sure I would have warmed to the idea and become excited about it after growing used to it, but I don't think it would be a genuine, 100% excitement like what you feel when the time is right.

I'm curious as to why you're asking this...

Well, I am 19 and although I am kind of young I would be excited after getting over the initial shock of finding out. I mean think about it, if you are with the person you really love, you and him are bringing a child you created together into this world to love for the rest of yours and their lives. Yeah, having a kid would change EVERYTHING for me at this point in my life, but I would definitely be excited and never ever regret it.

yes how could you not be excited about creating another life a life that is a part of you and your husband a life that is fully dependant on you. I'm excited thinking about it but not in a hurry to start unlike most I want to wait until the perfect moment so I can really enjoy all the excitement that comes with it.

I'm excited about getting pregnant. I see it as a true blessing to be able to bring like into this world. I'm also excited about all the little things, it would be like going back to childhood again. The last thing is that you's have someone who you can teach everything to. The point is, I'm beyond excited.

at first some girls are shocked and scared while some are suicidal.

it just depends on the person. but generally yes, women are excited after they realize that they are having a child of their own :)

Mine was a mix of happy because I always wanted to care for a baby and love children, and fear of getting huge, being sick, losing my job, dispointing my family, and not being a able to handle the change of lifestyle. there are a lot of feelings, but in my case, underneath it all I was really happy that I was finally going to be a mom.

Yes. But not when they get raped by a gang of baboons and then are forced to give birth to that "thing" because they live in Alaska.
