What free programme/software can I get that embeds srt (subtitles) files into video or dvd? Thanks?
I have a few films that I have downloaded and want to convert into dvd but my windows dvd maker wont recognise the subtitle files. I want to embed the srt files into the video and then convert them to dvd or alternatively convert them straight to dvd.

I don't know any freeware can do that. I always use convertxtodvd to add subtitle to video and burn it to DVD, it's not free, but it works pretty well, I think it worth the money. If you are interested in it, here is a guide about how to do that

for ur question: directvobsub divxland subtitler for additional details: you can open ur srt file with notepad and edit the wrong part then click file>save
