they do fair on gas but beware of it if it has the 2.7 engine those are notorious for causing sludge problems and other running problems like low oil pressure, have someone that knows about cars go with you and check it out before you buy it,that's lot for a ten year old car,so be careful on this one,i gave a 2001 model away because it had severe engine damage because of heavy sludge build up,good luck.

If there is only a small amount of smoke it is probably just condensation which is normal. This will be more pronounced in colder weather because the cold air causes more water vapor in the exhaust to condense and become visible. This isn't likely a problem caused by a faulty EGR valve sensor because if there were a serious problem with that sensor the car probably wouldn't run smoothly at idle. If the amount of white smoke is more than the amount that could typically be attributed to condensation you may have leaky head gasket. Keep an eye on the cars coolant level, coolant leaking into the cars cylinders through the head gasket burns causing white smoke. If the leak is serious enough you might notice a drop in coolant level after driving for awhile, you may also be able to smell the antifreeze burning in the exhaust. If the head gasket is your issue your looking at an expensive fix (think $700 to $800). Good luck.

It's a great car IF it's not the 2.7 liter. If it's a 2.7, pass. The 3.5 is very reliable. If they made a 3.3 that year, those are indestructible.
They will get about 19 in town and 25 or maybe a little more on a trip.

Its a good car because dodges are very reliable. As for the gas problem i don't know exactly how much they take but cars tend to not take very much.

PLEASE stay away from that. Look for a Toyota Corolla or something similar. You will be much happier with the reliability and gas mileage, and small cars are COOL!
