Most car warranty's are a joke. They cost you a lot to purchase and the deductible and/or fine print weasels them out of paying for lots of repairs. Your best bet is to put the money they want to charge for the warranty in a savings account and pay for repairs out of it. Probably have most your money left at the end.

Also car warranty's sold by dealers are a high profit add on for the dealer.(thats why they want you to buy it, not because you need it) Just buy the car with no add on warranty, undercoat, lifetime wax or anything else they want to jab you for..........md

On a used vehicle, I would definately consider getting it and also choosing which policy you want. You want to get a policy that covers internal engine and transmission parts. On a new vehicle, I personally dont get an extended warranty, as I can fix anything myself. I'd rather roll the dice and hope with proper maintenance, I will have no issues.

my experience with extended warranties has been zilch. i paid out 1500 dollars and never got any use out of it. save your money and take your chances. the only winners are the insurance companies that do the warranty. they build cars pretty good nowadays. oh, you might be able to get a partial refund by stopping it.

If you follow the required maintenance schedule to the letter you should be Ok but if you miss a scheduled item they usually will not pay for a repair.

No. Most of them put so many stipulations in the warranty they don't pay off. They're a big waste of money.

I'd put the money in the bank and use it to repair the car when necessary.

Not, as more and likely they will find an excuse to not honor it, due to mileage and what not.
