How to implement a Blog into a Website?
Hi, and thanks to anyone that can assist me.
I'm currently working on creating my own gaming website... I won't go into much detail of specifics though. I would like to have a form of a blog or the ability to post articles on the home page; a good example is http://www.psu.com/ which has daily posts that are shown on the home page.
The reason I like their posts is because there confined to showing the beginning of the article, a thumbnail, publish date, and author instead of showing either the whole post or a large portion of the post as seen in a standard blog (such as http://blog.us.playstation.com/). The other thing that I like is the posts fit right in with the theme of their website.
I currently have no idea of how to get to that (as explained in the following paragraph). My goal is to have something similar to that, with a my own register for the website, and the ability for members to comment once they open the article up. I'm fairly good with HTML and CSS, and I have started using PHP (with MySQL). If you know how I could accomplish this or have any guides, tutorials, websites, videos, books that could help me learn how to get there, then I would really appreciate it. Thank You.
