What is your favorit horse quote? I know this has been asked before, but I wanted to have some fun.?
My favorit two are: A good horse is never a bad color or bad breed.
A horse that's worth something will always try to kill itself or have scars and scratches; one that is worth nothing will never have a scratch.
I heard both of these from an old cowboy I used to work for, and for my horses they have been absolutely true. My first horse always had cuts and scratches around his pasterns and face (he was half mustang half QH). My second horse had to have stitches aboveher eye (she was a gorgeous solid paint bred black mare with a spectacular lope) and my current horse keeps banging up his knees and has scratches all over his face (he in my 3 year old QH show prospect).

This quote i absolutely love
"A dog looks up to a man, A cat looks down on a man, and a horse looks a man in the eye and sees him as an equal."
this is dedicated to my horse whom i have to put down wednesday
"nothing is more sacred as the bond between a horse and a rider. No other creature can ever become so emotionally close to a human as a horse. when a horse dies, the memory lives on, because an enormous part of his owners heart, sould, and very existance dies also."

I love the one already posted-

I also have a few more-
"7 falls make a rider, the next 21 are for the hell of it and you stop counting after 100."
"Apple core,
Say no more.
I'll be your friend,
Until the very end."

My favorites are:
No hour in life is wasted that is spent in the saddle.
It is not enough for someone to know how to ride- they must also know how to fall.
It's a lot like nuts and bolts: if the rider is nuts, the horse bolts
And my favorite since I have aged and ripened is from Roy Rogers
When you are young and fall off a horse, you may break something. When you are my age and fall, you splatter.
