George Washington may be as close as we get for a long time.
I mean it was cool back then to dress up like a drag queen, powdered wig and all!

Many historians think James Buchanan, 15th president of the US, was gay. He lived with Alabama Senator William King for 15 years before he became president. Andrew Jackson refered to Buchanan and King as Miss Nancy and Aunt Fancy. He was the only president never to marry, his niece acted as first lady.

I don't know...a long time. Look at how many years it took to elect a Black man. What about a woman? or Latino? or Asian? or Transgendered? Hell, if the first Gay President has the same or similar agenda as Obama's...I'd vote for him.

Agree with Cash Money. I'd bet money that we'll never have a gay president.
But then again 50 years ago people said we'd never have a black president...

We most likely already have, we just didn't know it. I think we need a cross dressing president, that would be awesome. News every day would be about 'What our President is wearing today', instead of how much he is a loser.

When one worth electing is running for president.
Sexuality isnt going to affect how good/bad of a president they would make, just like being black or white. Race, sexuality, religion ect. has absolutely nothing to do with it.

One cannot tell, but the past two presidents have both been firsts...Obama the first black president and Bush the first special education president.
