It seems that just about every other person over the age of 50 is on a statin to lower cholesteral. If the average cholesteral level is 225, isnt that normal? Our doctors want us below 200.

My hard earned experience has taught me that a 2nd opinion isn't nearly good enough. Some of the drugs I've been prescribed have some very strange side effects, not to mention outrageous prices. Seems like every dr I've seen finds some thing wrong that he just happens to have a pill for. Now I found a dr that just prescribes one low dose hypertension pill. It seems like medical care is now the #1 cause of death in this country, beating out cancer and heart disease. I'm going to try potassium to lower the BP and maybe I can stop this one pill.
