does anyone know how to convert .avi files to DVD files (.vob .bup .ifo)?

convert .avi files to DVD files (.vob .bup .ifo)and also how do i make my own menus? could you also recomend free programs

    A message prompt instructs me to convert the avi or wma files to ifo, vob or bup files. 2. I am directed to add files from a VIDEO_TS folder
