No obvious conformation faults that he can not grow out of. Foals frequently have a downhill conformation so at present that is nothing to worry about. Overall he looks pretty good. But overall I think he is pretty good.
And to the people commenting on the mare...Yes she is skinny but some mares just get that way when they have a foal on them. Especially if the mare is a little older. The foal removes nutrients faster than the mother is able to gather them. Feeding helps but does not always solve the problem. This illustrates why it is sometimes (in these circumstances) better to wean early at 3 or 4 months.
The stud in this photo is 2 and was weaned at 2 1/2 months because I had to treat an injury and he would not allow me to when mommy was around (nor would the mare) so I had to wean him. Never the less at 2 1/2 years he was 15.2 and 1/4 inch and now at nearly 4 is over 16 hands. Very large, considering neither of his parents reached 15 hands.

Wow..it's hard to comment on the confo of a baby because you never really know how they are going to turn out, but....
OMG that poor MARE! Geesh. I know you said she's not yours but I think most RESPONSIBLE breeders know that if the mare is skinny to FEED IT MORE. She's giving all her nutrients to the foal and if you don't keep up it can cause major problems. I've seen some thin broodmares before but that is the worst. I don't care how dry it is...give that poor mare some food. Good Lord what are people thinking?!?

Unfortunately I know very little about horse conformation. But he looks like his shoulder lay's nicely. I love his face and expression.
I noticed that his hind end is higher than his front end. Which isn't bad, foals body parts grow at different rates. Ive heard of horses with extreme downhill conformation impossible for them to collect.

I think that his overall conformation is very nice. He is put together very nicely, as well. I love his head. His face is so cute and sweet looking. He is built slightly downhill, but that may correct as he grows. If it doesn't, he may be harder to collect than other horses. He is a good looking fellow, though. Good luck with him in the future.

Beautiful boy, you're lucking out on this one.
How's his temperment? Who's he out of, do you know?
What do you plan to do with him?
Ahah, sorry for all the questions, I just love when you've got an unbroke baby... it's like you've got a whole world at hand and you can make all the choices.
